   Extended Rain Forecast Sends Grains Lower Monday

   December corn closed down 28 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 43
1/2 cents Monday, responding to chances for beneficial rains in the 8- to
14-day forecast. All three U.S. wheats were also lower with states in the
Northern Plains expecting more moderate temperatures by Friday.

   July corn closed down 25 1/4 cents and December corn was down 28 1/2 cents.
July soybeans closed down 36 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 43 1/2
cents. July KC wheat closed down 10 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 6 1/4
cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 17 1/4 cents. The September U.S.
Dollar Index is trading down 0.05 at 90.51. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is
down 250.93 points at 34,228.67. August gold is down $14.30 at $1,865.30, July
silver is down $0.17 at $27.98 and July copper is down $0.0175. July crude oil
is down $0.16 at $70.75, July heating oil is down $0.0127, July RBOB gasoline
is down $0.0183 and July natural gas is up $0.057.
